Use Forkmate in Goose
Goose installs remote extensions from a link and handles the sign-in itself. Click below, approve, and sign in once.
Opens Goose and adds Forkmate. You still sign in once to approve access.
No Forkmate account yet? Create one free first. It takes under a minute, and Goose sends you there on first connect anyway.
Or set it up by hand
https://mcp.forkmate.ai/Forkmate’s server URL. Streamable HTTP, OAuth sign-in, no API key.
- 1
Add the extension
In Goose Desktop open Extensions → Add custom extension, choose Streamable HTTP, enter
https://mcp.forkmate.ai/as the endpoint and click Add Extension. In the CLI, run goose configure → Add Extension → Remote Extension (Streamable HTTP). - 2
Sign in to Forkmate once
Goose opens a Forkmate sign-in in your browser. Sign in (or create your free account) and approve access. That one-time OAuth step connects it to your diary and nobody else’s.
- 3
Log your first meal
In Goose, say “I had two eggs and toast for breakfast.” It logs the meal with calories and macros to your Forkmate diary.
~/.config/goose/config.yaml
extensions:
forkmate:
name: Forkmate
type: streamable_http
uri: https://mcp.forkmate.ai/
enabled: true
timeout: 300The key is uri, not url.
What you need
- A free Forkmate account (sign up). There is no paid plan.
- A current Goose. Goose is now developed under the Agentic AI Foundation; its docs moved to goose-docs.ai.
Checked September 30, 2026 against the vendor’s documentation: Goose docs: using extensions. Goose changes its menus often; if yours looks different, trust what it shows.
What to say first
Once it’s connected, talk to Goose the way you’d tell a friend:
I had two eggs and toast for breakfast.
It logs the meal with calories, protein, carbs and fat to your diary at app.forkmate.ai. Then try:
- How many calories have I had today?
- Make the toast two slices.
- What did I eat this week?
