Terms of Service

By using Forkmate ("the service") you agree to these terms. Forkmate is a product of High Country Codes, a Colorado sole proprietorship ("we," "us," or "the Company"). Forkmate is an early-stage product offered as-is.

The service

Forkmate lets you log food — including by talking to your AI assistant — and see your daily calories and macros. Features and availability may change as we develop the product.

Your account

You're responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your login secure. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to consent under your local law.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no unlawful activity, no attempts to break, overload, or reverse-engineer it, and no using it to harm others.

Subscriptions & billing

Paid subscriptions are currently paused (since 18 August 2026). Forkmate is free to use in full, and no new subscription can be purchased. The terms in this section continue to govern any subscription bought before that date, and would apply again if paid plans resume.

Forkmate offers a free tier and a paid Pro plan. Pro is a subscription that renews automatically — monthly at $9 or yearly at $72, billed in US dollars plus any tax collected at checkout — until you cancel. Your subscription is sold and billed through Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record: Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record for the transaction, processes your payment, and collects and remits applicable sales tax and VAT. Your purchase is therefore also subject to Lemon Squeezy's buyer terms and refund policy.

You can cancel at any time — in the app under Settings → Plan → "Manage subscription" (the Lemon Squeezy customer portal), or via the links in your receipt and reminder emails. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then; renewals already charged are handled under Lemon Squeezy's refund policy — email billing@forkmate.ai and we'll help. If subscription prices change, we will notify active subscribers by email before the change takes effect, and the new price applies from your next renewal.

Forkmate provides nutrition tracking and estimates for informational purposes only. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for a qualified professional. Consult a doctor or dietitian for medical or dietary decisions. Our calorie, carbohydrate, and macro figures are estimates and are not accurate enough for insulin dosing, blood-glucose prediction, or any other medical decision — rely on food labels and your care team for those.

Eating disorders & your relationship with food

Forkmate is a general-wellness tracking tool. It is not a treatment, therapy, screening, or monitoring service for eating disorders, disordered eating, or any mental-health condition, and it does not diagnose, detect, or treat them. For some people — particularly anyone with a history of disordered eating — logging calories, weighing food, or tracking body metrics can be harmful; only you and a qualified professional can judge whether tracking is right for you. Any wellness reminders, encouragement, or prompts Forkmate may show are general information only, not clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic advice. If tracking your food or focusing on your body ever feels distressing or compulsive, please consider pausing and reaching out for support. In the US you can call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline — it's free, confidential, available 24/7, and also helps with eating-disorder distress.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, Forkmate is not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the service.
