Use Forkmate in Grok
Grok can add a remote MCP server as a custom connector. Add Forkmate once and Grok can keep your food diary.
No Forkmate account yet? Create one free first. It takes under a minute, and Grok sends you there on first connect anyway.
Set up Forkmate in Grok
https://mcp.forkmate.ai/Forkmate’s server URL. Streamable HTTP, OAuth sign-in, no API key.
- 1
Open Connectors
Go to grok.com/connectors.
- 2
Add a custom connector
Click New Connector, choose Custom, and enter
https://mcp.forkmate.ai/. - 3
Sign in to Forkmate once
Grok opens a Forkmate sign-in in your browser. Sign in (or create your free account) and approve access. That one-time OAuth step connects it to your diary and nobody else’s.
- 4
Log your first meal
In Grok, say “I had two eggs and toast for breakfast.” It logs the meal with calories and macros to your Forkmate diary.
What you need
- A free Forkmate account (sign up). There is no paid plan.
- On Grok Business and Enterprise, a team admin adds the connector first (+ Add Connector → Other), then you connect.
- xAI’s docs don’t say which personal plans include custom connectors or whether they work in the mobile apps. We haven’t confirmed either.
Checked September 30, 2026 against these sources: xAI: connectors, xAI: connector management. Grok changes its menus often; if yours looks different, trust what it shows.
What to say first
Once it’s connected, talk to Grok the way you’d tell a friend:
I had two eggs and toast for breakfast.
It logs the meal with calories, protein, carbs and fat to your diary at app.forkmate.ai. Then try:
- How many calories have I had today?
- Make the toast two slices.
- What did I eat this week?
