# Use Forkmate in Claude Code

Claude Code adds remote MCP servers from the command line. One command, one sign-in, and you can log lunch without leaving the terminal.

## Set up Forkmate in Claude Code

`https://mcp.forkmate.ai/`

Forkmate’s server URL. Streamable HTTP, OAuth sign-in, no API key.

1. Add the server

Run `claude mcp add --transport http --scope user forkmate https://mcp.forkmate.ai/` to add Forkmate for every project.
2. Sign in

Start Claude Code, run `/mcp`, choose forkmate and Authenticate. Your browser opens the Forkmate sign-in; approve it once.
3. Log your first meal

In Claude Code, say “I had two eggs and toast for breakfast.” It logs the meal with calories and macros to your Forkmate diary.

- Claude Code with a Claude subscription or API access.

## What to say first

Once it’s connected, talk to Claude Code the way you’d tell a friend:

It logs the meal with calories, protein, carbs and fat to your diary at app.forkmate.ai. Then try:

- How many calories have I had today?
- Make the toast two slices.
- What did I eat this week?
