Microsoft 365 Copilot’s connectors are added by tenant admins and are read-only, so they can’t log a meal. In VS Code, GitHub Copilot works: see VS Code. - **ChatGPT Free and Go:** OpenAI doesn’t list Developer mode for these plans. Client support checked September 30, 2026 against each vendor’s own documentation; the apps that use a key on October 9, 2026. Any other client that can add a remote MCP server with OAuth, or send a header, works too: use the details below. ## The details, for any MCP client Everything a client needs to connect. The same URL works everywhere. `https://mcp.forkmate.ai/` Server URL `https://mcp.forkmate.ai/`. `https://app.forkmate.ai/mcp` also works and always will, for clients connected before the move. Transport Streamable HTTP (MCP protocol 2025-06-18). Pick “HTTP” or “Streamable HTTP” if your client asks; not SSE, not stdio. Sign-in Web apps (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity) use OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. They register themselves (Dynamic Client Registration or a Client ID Metadata Document), so there is nothing to copy: your client opens a Forkmate sign-in once and stores the token. Personal key Apps that run on your computer (Claude Code, Cursor’s desktop app, VS Code and other coding tools) can’t sign in this way. Make a key in Forkmate under Settings → Keys for local apps and send it as the header`Authorization: Bearer fmk_…`, leaving any OAuth fields empty. Adding Forkmate from [Claude’s connector directory](https://claude.ai/directory/forkmate)or as a custom connector connects the same server. ## Troubleshooting ### My client asks for an API key or a client ID. A web app (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity) needs neither: leave the client ID and secret empty and pick OAuth (or “sign in”), and it registers itself and opens the Forkmate sign-in. An app on your computer (Claude Code, Cursor’s desktop app, VS Code and other coding tools) uses a personal key instead: make one in Forkmate under Settings → Keys for local apps and send it as the header Authorization: Bearer followed by the key. See forkmate.ai/connect/keys/. ### My app on my computer can’t sign in to Forkmate. Forkmate doesn’t take sign-ins from apps that run on your computer. Make a key under Settings → Keys for local apps and add Forkmate with it in the Authorization header; each app’s page here has the exact config. If it worked before and now says the key is invalid, the key was revoked or expired: make a new one. ### It connected, but logging a meal says “Nothing was saved”. Forkmate asks once for your consent to store health-related data. Give it the way the reply asks: in the chat, or at app.forkmate.ai signed in with the same account. Then ask your assistant again. Reading your diary and searching foods work without it. ### The sign-in window never opened, or I closed it. Start it again from your client: Connect on the connector in Claude, or the connect or sign-in button in ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok or Perplexity. If there’s no button, remove Forkmate and add it again. Apps on your computer don’t sign in: they use a key. ### My client only supports stdio (local) servers. Use the bridge: npx -y mcp-remote https://mcp.forkmate.ai/ --header "Authorization:${FORKMATE_AUTH}" as the command, with FORKMATE_AUTH set to Bearer and your key in its env. It needs Node.js 18 or later and passes your client’s requests through. forkmate.ai/connect/keys/ has the JSON. ### Should I use mcp.forkmate.ai or app.forkmate.ai/mcp? https://mcp.forkmate.ai/ is the address to use. https://app.forkmate.ai/mcp still works for clients that connected before the move. ### It says I’m logging too fast. Writes (logging, changing and deleting meals) are limited to 60 a minute per account, which a conversation never reaches; a runaway agent loop can. Wait a minute and try again. Reading and searching aren’t limited this way. ### It logged the wrong thing. Tell your assistant: “change the rice to 150 g” or “delete the latte”. It corrects or removes that entry. You can also edit any entry in your diary at app.forkmate.ai. ### Who sees my food log? Your assistant sees what Forkmate returns in that conversation, and handles it under its own terms. Every Forkmate call is scoped to your account, and you can disconnect from your client, or revoke its key, at any time. See the privacy policy for the rest. Still stuck?
