Forkmate is a free AI calorie and macro tracker you talk to. Here are the facts, in one place.

What it is

Forkmate is a free AI calorie and macro tracker. You describe what you ate in plain words, and it is logged to your private food diary with its calories, protein, carbs and fat.

Price

Free. There is no paid plan, no trial and no credit card, and there are no ads. Export is free too.

Account

You need a free Forkmate account. You sign in to use the web app and to authorize an AI assistant, and you agree to the health-data consent before your first log.

Ways to log

Type a sentence in the web app, search for a food, or scan a barcode. Or tell your AI assistant what you ate, or send it a photo of your plate, and it logs the meal through Forkmate.

AI assistants

Claude (Claude.ai, Claude Desktop, Claude Code) and Cursor support Forkmate's remote MCP server, and so does ChatGPT where your plan allows custom connectors. Any client that can add a remote MCP server with OAuth works. [More](https://forkmate.ai/connect/)

MCP server

https://mcp.forkmate.ai/ (streamable HTTP, OAuth). Listed on the official MCP Registry as ai.forkmate/forkmate, with 12 tools for logging, correcting and reading your diary, searching foods and looking up barcodes.

Where it runs

In the browser at app.forkmate.ai, on desktop and phone, and you can add it to your home screen. There is no app-store app.

Food data

USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts, plus a small set of chain-restaurant menu items. Every food shows the source its numbers came from. Values are estimates, not for insulin dosing or medical decisions.

Switching

Privacy
